Robert "Bob" E. Smith

Robert “Bob” E. Smith, 59, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023, at Southeast Iowa Behavioral Healthcare Center, Keokuk, IA.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date.  Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Bob was born on November 2, 1963, in Galesburg, IL, the son of Bernard Eugene and Patricia Effie (Watkins) Smith. Bob was big fan of sports. He loved the Chicago Bears, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Survivors include his mother, Patricia; sisters, Patty (Ed) Haskins, of West Des Moines, IA, Sue Smith, of Urbandale, IA; brother-in-law, Rick Clapp, of Orion, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Jane Clapp.
