Roger A. Failon

Roger A. Failon, 82, of East Moline, passed away Thursday October 19, 2023, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

A visitation for the public will be from 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday October 25, 2023, at Homewood Evangelical Free Church, 3303 60th Street, Moline. A private family service and private burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.

Roger was born on December 7, 1940, in Neponset, Illinois, the son of Jesse and Esther (Omark) Failon. He married Roberta Jean Hansen on September 4, 2004, in Moline. She preceded him in death on December 31, 2022. He was previously employed at Montgomery Elevator in the escalator division in Coal Valley. He was a member of Homewood Evangelical Free Church.

Survivors include stepsons, Alan (Andrea) Hansen, Moline, Joel (Diane) Hansen, Moline, Cory (Wanjiku) Hansen, Hurst, Texas; step grandchildren, Morgan, Calvin, Kelly, Reid, Ella, Noah, Nate, Glory, Kwamboka, Kiniaru; step great grandchild, Stevie Jean; sister-in-law, JoAnne Whitmore, Silvis; a sister in Moline; a niece and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Roberta.
