Ronald J. Brown

Ronald J. Brown, 87, of Moline, IL, passed away, November 3, 2026, at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island.

Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on December 12, 2026, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be at Rock Island Memorial Park at a later date.

Ronald was born on June 12, 1939, in Rock Island, IL, the son of Earl and Alice (Docherty) Brown. He married Evelyn M. Belknap on July 7, 1962, in Rock Island, IL; she preceded him in death on May 14, 2019, in Moline, IL.

Ronald is a veteran, having served in the US Navy. He worked for Carlson Heating and Plumbing, working with sheet metal and the workers union. Ronald liked working with his hands and being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, recreational ATV riding, drag racing, woodworking, and being with his cats.

Survivors include his stepdaughter, Luann (Rick) Schneider; daughters, Penny Schierling and Dianna (Jim) Wince; grandchildren, Evan Brown, Tianna Schierling, Addie Young, and J.C. Brenny; great-grandchildren, Cohen, Warren, Emersyn, Emmett, Macie, and Madison.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, brother, Russ, and sister, Deanne.
