Ronald E. Kenney

Ronald “Ron” E. Kenney, 73, of New Windsor passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline.

Per his final wishes cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services.  Esterdahl is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ron was born on December 20, 1948 in Harrisburg, Virginia the son of Stanley and Patricia Willhite Kenney.  He married Lois Jensen and she preceded him in death in January of 2019.

Ron was employed with the Sherrard School District as a bus driver and mechanic retiring in 2021.  He enjoyed watching television, playing baseball and bowling.  Ron really enjoyed hanging out at the bus barn and visiting with his friends.

Ron is survived by his children, Serena (Bobby) Blane of Crofton, KY and John (Beth) Kenney of Owensboro, KY; step children, Mike (Paula) Fink, Harry (Jutta) Fink and Marilee Fink; grandson, Cole Kenney of Davenport; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren; sister, Cindy (Stewart) Seidl.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jerry and Tim.
