Ronald “Ron” J. Milefchik, 70, of Moline, IL, passed away, December 22, 2025, at University of Iowa Health Care, North Liberty Campus.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family, for a fund to be established.
Ron was born on May 10, 1955, in Ft. Dodge, IA, the son of Eugene and Margaret (Dale) Milefchik. He married Kay Causemaker in Moline, on July 12, 1975, and they later divorced. He then married Deb Davis in Moline on June 22, 1991, and they later divorced. Ron retired as a union representative in February of 2019 after working for 40 years for Farmall on the assembly line and Navistar, Ohio as a union steward. He was a member of the UAW Local 402. He was a devoted Iowa Hawkeyes fan, who believed he bled black and gold, and he loved Tweety Bird. Ron always stated that his grandchildren were his life and legacy, and he cherished the time he spent with them.
Survivors include his children, Amy (Dion) Ayers of Eldridge, IA, Kelly (Tyson) Nichols of Davenport, IA, Tara Milefchik of Manchester, OH, and Christa (Walter) Rumer of Piketon, OH; 9 grandchildren, Kirsten and Kyler Webber, Keegan, Marley, and Zoey Ayers, Ryan, Kylie, and Jack Parker, and Aspen Rumer; 3 sisters, Margene Willis, Kathy (Doug) Vanatta, and Dee Dee (Brian) Maere; brothers, Dale (Susie) Milefchik and Rick (Deann) Milefchik; sister-in-law, Margaret Milefchik.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Milefchik; brother-in-law, Greg Willis; nephews, Aaron Masias and Travis McDow.
