Ronald E. Woodley, 73, of Orion, IL, died Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Genesis Medical Center - Silvis Campus, Silvis, IL.

A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

Ron was born on September 22, 1941, in Moline, IL, the son of Roy R. and Mabel Wonick Woodley. He married Joyce E. Lee Lieving on August 22, 1983, in Nashau, IA. He worked as a meat cutter for Highland Pack for 27 years, retiring in 2000. Prior to that, he worked for Montgomery Elevator.

Ron was an avid golfer and enjoyed woodworking. He was an Illini and Green Bay Packers fan as well as a NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Bob Lee.
