Rosie L. Hess, 81, of Port Byron, IL, died Sunday, November 23, 2014, at home.
There will be no services. Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at the National Cemetery. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Animal Shelter.
Rosie was born on October 30, 1933, in Viola.IL, the daughter of Charles F. and Myrtle Taylor Pegg. She first married Bob Larson on June 24, 1951. Later she married James Gillespie. Then she married Wayne E. Hess on October 17, 1970 in Andalusia. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2008.
Rosie enjoyed crocheting and going to yard sales.
