Roxanne "Rox" M. Borkhardt, 50, of Moline, IL, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, surrounded by her family and friends at home after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2014, at Heritage Church, 4801 44th Street, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. In lieu of flowers, Rox would like for memorials to be made to her family for a fund to be established for her children.
Rox was born on January 24, 1964, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Don and Pat David Short. She married Jerry Borkhardt on May 15, 1997, in Moline. She worked as a medical office assistant for Dr. Brunjhens in Davenport, IA.
Rox enjoyed reading scriptures and was a member of Heritage Church. She also enjoyed watching her children play sports. More than anything, Rox loved her family, especially her children. She will forever be deeply missed.
