Roy L. Morley

Roy L. Morley, 86, of Moline, IL, passed away on September 28, 2026, at Allure of Quad Cities.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday October 3, 2026, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.

Roy was born on July 1, 1940, in Mineral, IL, the son of Ferrell and Lula (Parker) Morley. He married Janice McCarrell at the First Christian Church in Moline on April 16, 1960. Roy was a U.S. Veteran, having served for two years in the United States Army and was formerly active with the Moline American Legion. He worked as a bus driver for Greyhound Lines for 30 years, and Burlington Trailway Lines for 7 years, finally retiring in 2007.

Survivors include his wife, Janice; children, Tim (Christiana) Morley, Moline, Julie A. Holman, Moline; grandchildren, Michael Morley, Moline, Dillon Morley, North Carolina, Taylor Holman, Moline, Sidney (Ben) Dworkin, Fox Lake, IL; great grandchildren, Bennett and Beau Dworkin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lelan Morley, Marilyn Morley, and Vera Slater who passed the day after Roy.
