Ruth Ann Ford

Ruth Ann Ford, 90, of Silvis, IL, passed away, September 2, 2026, at Silvis Center.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Bethel Assembly of God, Rock Island for missionary work.

Ruth was born on August 19, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of William and Opal (Henderson) Ford. She graduated from Central Bible College in Nauvoo, IL. Ruth found her path as a nun, and she had a special relationship with God and loved him deeply. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Rock Island, IL. Ruth taught Sunday School at the church and was a former choir member. She loved to volunteer for her church and going on mission trips in foreign countries. Ruth was a former meter maid for the city of East Moline and a former election judge. She was also an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.

Survivors include her nephew, Steve S. Ford; niece, Kellie L. (Philip) Thiel; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Her was preceded in death by her parents, brother, William Mckinley Ford Jr and sister, Dorothy McKee.
