Ruth Ann Vogel

Ruth Ann Vogel, 94, of Moline, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Illini Restorative Care in Silvis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church.

Ruth Ann was born on May 25, 1928, in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Leo and Marie (Bremer) Defebaugh. In Ruth Ann’s teen years, she and her parents moved to the QC area and she graduated from United Township High School in 1946. She worked in the Cost Department of International Harvester where she met her future husband, Paul C. Vogel. They married on June 26, 1965, in Davenport. He preceded her in death in July of 2008. After retirement, Paul and Ruth spent their time in Florida enjoying the warm sunshine. They eventually moved back to the QC area and joined Edgewood Baptist Church. They enjoyed many activities there.

Survivors include her sister, Leatha (Dick) Boyer; 3 nephews, Robert (Peggy) Boyer, Moline, Scott (Lisa) Boyer, Waterloo, IA, and Todd Boyer, Rock Island.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; and brother, John Defebaugh.
