Sandra K. Frakes, 78, of Moline, formerly of Orion, IL, died Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.
A private family and close friends memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion. Burial of cremated remains will be at Viola Cemetery with her husband at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Sandra Kay was born on December 23, 1936 in Silvis, the daughter of John and Leona Ranson Weekley. She married Dwight Francis in January of 1959, she later married Donald D. Frakes in December of 1984, and he preceded her in death in September of 2010.
Sandra was an administrative assistant with the Orion School District for 22 years retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion. Sandra enjoyed cooking, fishing, and gardening. She also enjoyed her time in Wisconsin, but above all her true love was spending time with family.
