Sandra "Sandy" Sue Tuman, age 69, of Rock Island, formerly of Webster, TX, died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Sandy was born October 28, 1942 in Decatur, IL, and raised in Rock Island, the daughter of Harry W. and Alice C. (Martin) Ill.
Sandy was employed as a parts and shipping manager for Alimak Hek for 30 years, retiring in 2011. She was a graduate of Rock Island High School. Sandy enjoyed collecting teddy bears, and making miniatures. She also enjoyed reading and the ocean. One of her greatest joys was playing the slot machines.
