Sandria Polite

Sandria “Sandra” Florence Polite, 65, of East Moline, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 22, 2019, at Grace City Church, 1925 5th Ave, Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd.  Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Sandra was born on February 19, 1953, in Rock Island, the daughter of John and Laveda (Hunt) Fowler.  She married George Polite on December 4, 1974, in Rock Island.  She graduated from Black Hawk College and was previously employed in customer service at AT&T.

Sandra was an active member of Life Church in East Moline and previous member of Harvest Time Family Worship Center in Davenport.  She volunteered her time as a worship leader throughout the Quad Cities and country.  She enjoyed singing and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, George Polite, Cedar Hill, TX; children, Aaron Polite, Peru, IL,  Joshua (Colleen) Polite, Gilbert, AZ, Michael (Chekesha) Polite, Chandler, AZ, Stafonda (Timothy) Lee, Windermere, FL, and Marc (LaShonda) Polite, East Moline; 17 grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings, Helen Fowler, Rock Island, Eddie Fowler, Milan, James Fowler, Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, John Henry Fowler, Andrew Fowler, Alma Jean Counts, and Gwen Fowler.
