Sarah M. Elliott (Olson)

Sarah M. Elliott (Olson), 74, of Moline, passed away June 6, 2024, at Unity Point Health Trinity Rock Island.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday July 20, 2024, at First Covenant Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday July 19, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Cremation rites have been accorded and graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday July 22, at Rock Island National Cemetery, with anyone wishing to attend meeting at First Covenant Church at 9:15 a.m. Monday morning for procession to the cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Covenant Church of Moline.

Sarah was born on December 5, 1949, in Moline. She graduated from Moline High School, class of 1968 and was an LPN for 23 years for the county at Oak Glen and Hope Creek where she retired from. Sarah married Mike Elliott at First Covenant Church on October 9, 1971. She was a lifelong member of First Covenant Church where she taught Children’s Sunday school. She was also involved in the Missions Committee and Good News Club, as well as Stonecroft Ministries and Morning Connections. Her faith was the sustaining strength in her life.

Survivors include her husband, Mike of Moline; son, Derek (Jayna); grandson, Bryce; granddaughter, Kylar, all of East Moline; sister, Betsy (Bruce) Baker of East Moline; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Olson and Monika Olson of East Moline; brother-in-law, Darrell (Marjorie) Elliott of San Angelo, Texas and Ken (Pamela) Dupont of Henderson, NV; nephew, Ben (Jessica) Baker and his children, all of O'Fallon, MO; her second adoptive family that she was very close to, the Glenn Wells family of Rock Island.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Helen Olson, of Moline; sister, Mary Ann Olson of Moline; brothers, Larry Olson of Moline and David Olson of East Moline.
