Sharon A Bannas

Sharon Ann Bannas, 78, of Moline, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021, at her residence.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2021 at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Visitation will be 1-hour prior at the funeral home.  In accordance with restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a face mask and observe social distancing.

Sharon was born on December 21, 1942, in Kewanee, the daughter of John and Elsie (Chapman) Starberg.  She married Edwin Bannas on June 2, 1961 in Kewanee, IL.  She worked as a cook for Augustana College and Wilson Jr. High.  She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, playing cards and was an avid reader.

Survivors include her husband, children, Richard Bannas, Moline, IL, Christine Warner, West, TX, Pamela (Keith) Turner, Milan, IL, Leon J. (Brenda) Bannas, Beaver Dam, WI; siblings, Carolann Ferkel, Eldridge, IA, John Brand, Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Amy Theraque, Elizabeth (Terri) Zett, Leon J. McKee, Brittney (Travis) Lesser; great grandchildren, Anthony, Becca, Jaymie, Derek, and Rylin Jo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Eugene Bannas; grandson, John Joseph Bannas; siblings, Leon H. Starberg, Linda Lee Starberg, Kathy Morlang & Nina Sivic.
