Sharon L. Meseck

Sharon L. Meseck, 70, of Moline, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend the graveside should meet at 1:45 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, for procession to the cemetery.  Memorial visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to her family for a fund to be established.

Sharon was born on July 29, 1952, in Moline, the daughter of Ike and Joan (Francis) Overton. She married James Regan in 1974 in Moline. He preceded her in death in February of 1988. Sharon later married Joseph Lee Meseck on June 29, 2002, in Moline. She was previously employed as a production assembler at Servus Rubber, retiring in 2011 after 30 years. Sharon also waitressed at Maid-Rite Diner at various locations around the Quad Cities. She was active in Friends Circle and enjoyed watching the Letterman and gardening. She was incredibly involved with her grandchildren and their activities. She loved the river and their home on South Shore Drive.

Survivors include her husband, Joe; daughter, Kimberly (Scott) Schnaufer, Geneseo; son, Scott Regan, New York; bonus children, Danny Kittrell, Lucedale, MS, Joseph (Juanita) Kittrell, Leakesville, MS; grandchildren, Nicholas Baraks, Geneseo, Julia Schnaufer, Geneseo, Destanie and Serena Kittrell, Leaksville; sisters, Victoria (Larry) Dobereiner, East Moline, Deborah Johann (George Carney), Rock Island; brothers, Shannon (Carolyn) Overton, North Carolina, Franklin Overton, Sr., Richmond, IL.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James; parents; infant son; nephew, Franklin Overton, Jr.
