Sherman "Mac" R. McIntyre

Sherman “Mac” R. McIntyre, 89, of East Moline, IL, passed away, May 14, 2026, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday May 21, 2026, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd, Moline. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Edgewood Church, Rock Island, or the family.

Sherman was born on August 31, 1936, in Attica, Indiana, the son of Olander and Murtty (Norris) McIntyre. Mac married Marily J. Everett on September 21, 1957, in Lafayette. He retired from John Deere in 1994, where he worked in maintenance and as a welder journeyman. He was a member of Edgewood Church. Mac was the last surviving sibling of his family.

Survivors include his wife, Marily; children, Reggie (Scott) James and Mic (Michelle) McIntyre; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jerry Mikels; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and seven brothers.
