Shirley A. Leidig, 69, of Moline, IL, died September 5, 2014, at Genesis Medical Center - Silvis Campus, Silvis, IL.

A celebration of life will be held at the Colona United Methodist Church on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, from 4 to 4:30 p.m. with a time of fellowship to follow until 6 p.m. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the family. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Shirley was born on September 10, 1944, in Steele, MO, the daughter of Vaud and Emma L. Johnson Williams. She married Lareth G. Leidig on August 31, 1974 in Rock Island, IL. She retired from the Arc of the Quad Cities Area.

Shirley was a member of Colona United Methodist Church where she recently taught Sunday school. She enjoyed animals, especially caring for and feeding the wildlife. Above all, Shirley loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Eddie.
