Silvia "Mimi" Minerva Sanchez, 53, of East Moline, IL, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Genesis Medical Center - West Campus, Davenport, IA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2014, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 555 18th Avenue, East Moline. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. with a Recitation of the Rosary at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The ARC of the Quad Cities.
Silvia was born on June 13, 1960, in Guadalajara-Jalisco, Mexico, the daughter of Martha E. Sanchez and Jose de Jesus Sanchez. She worked in food service at Ridgewood Elementary and several years at ARC. Silvia enjoyed drawing and painting flowers, sewing, and taking care of her dog, Cubby. She also enjoyed her time spent with family and friends, planting flowers, soap operas, and collecting dolls. She was our angel in disguise.
