Simon S. Kurland

Simon S. Kurland, 74, of Silvis, IL, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022, at home.

Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Simon was born on May 3, 1948, in London, England, the son of Henry and Ella (Moses) Kurland. He married Christina Ford on November 20, 1969, in New York City. Simon previously worked as a controller at the Quad Cities Generating Station. He later worked as a consultant for George S. May International in Chicago.

Simon will be missed by his wife of 52 years, Christina; children, John and Prithi Nayak and Charles; grandchildren, Joshua, Edward and Deven John; sister, Ethel Kurland and brother-in-law, Andrew Cassidy; and other family members, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Edward Michael; parents, Ella and Henry; sister, Lola and brother-in-law, Marvin.
