Sompasong Onelangsy

Sompasong Onelangsy, 60, of East Moline passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at ManorCare Utica Ridge in Davenport.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. in Moline.  A private family service will be on Saturday with live streaming starting at 12:00 p.m.  Cremation rites will follow.

Sompasong was born on June 20, 1960 in Sanakham, Laos the son of Phet and Phieng Onelangsy.  He married Kesone Seangmany in 1981 in Quincy, Illinois.

Sompasong was employed as a meat inspector with Kraft Foods for 28 years retiring in 2018.  He enjoyed tinkering around the house and cherished his time with his grandkids, nieces, and nephews.  Above all was truly his love for his family.

Survivors include his wife, Kesone and his mother, Phieng and children; David and Noy Onelangsy, Bobby and Rosa Onelangsy, and Sonny Onelangsy.  Grandchildren; Caleb, Jonathon, Alyssa, Matthew, Christopher, and Isabella.  Siblings; Than, Yao, Allin, Deo, Thui, Khack and Noy.  Many nieces, nephews and many, many other family members.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Ay Sompasong.
