Steven E. Faith

Steven E. Faith, 69, of Taylor Ridge passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the Calvary Lutheran Church, 2900 Avenue of the Cities in Moline.   Visitation will be from 5-7 on Wednesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. in Moline.  Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church or to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Steve was born on March 18, 1953, in Moline the son of Henry and Betty Prewitt Faith.  He married Debbie Kiehr on September 14, 1974, in Moline. Steve was a 1971 Rock Island High School graduate. He went on to be a machinist for 42 years with Moline Tool, International Harvester, Farmall Plant and retired from Inpro/Seal in Rock Island.  He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Moline where he served on the church council and taught Sunday School.  He was very proud of being one of the first ski patrollers at Snowstar in Andalusia.  Steve enjoyed photography, gardening, camping, and traveling with his family.  He was a very trusted friend and was known for being an exceptional listener.  Above all he loved his Lord, family and spending time with his grandchildren.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 47 years; children, Amy (Daniel) Krier of Oswego, Illinois, and Nathan (Arika) Faith of Taylor Ridge, Illinois; grandchildren, William & Elena Krier and Dalton, Kinsley, Henry, Elijah and Kayden Faith; siblings, Joy (Stephen) Verstraete, Curt (Sandy) Faith and Kim (Dusty) Macke as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son, David, parents and his sister, Janice.
