Susan Marie Crist Brown, 68, of Hillsdale, joined the Lord on September 11, 2015 at her residence.
Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, September 18, 2015 at The American Legion Post 711 in Blue Grass, Iowa 106 South Juanita Street, Blue Grass. Memorials may be made to the family
Susan was born on March 28, 1947 in Savanna, Illinois to Bernerd and Gladys Kunz Crist. She married Mitch Brown on February 17, 2013 after a 24 year relationship.
Susan was a graduate of Central High School in Dewitt, Iowa and later from Stewarts College of Cosmetology. She retired in early 2013 from the Port Byron Post Office. Susan loved to cook and provide desserts for her family and coworkers. She loved to travel and go with her husband on road trips to state parks and take in land marks and the scenery along the way. One of her favorite things was planning months in advance for the annual February trip to Florida. Above all, Susan was a very loving and giving person and will be missed by all that knew her. She also enjoyed watching sports on television as well as watching her children and grandchildren in their sporting events.
Survivors include her loving husband.
