Susan "Sue" Grant

Susan “Sue” Grant, 63, of Davenport, IA, passed away, August 31, 2026, at her home.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026, at St. Joan of Arc Parish, Lourdes Campus, Bettendorf, IA. Visitation will be an hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Burial of cremains will be at Davenport Memorial Park at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to Kings Harvest Pet Rescue or QC Paws or Scott County Humane Society, or Your Favorite Pet Rescue of Choice.

Sue was born on December 11, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Morris and Karon (Whitney) Merle. She married Derek Grant in Bettendorf, IA on October 6, 1990. Sue worked as a shop manager and designer at Minuteman Press, where she enjoyed working with customers on their various projects. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Parish, Lourdes Campus in Bettendorf, a member of the Durant American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of the Scottish American Society of the Quad Cities. Sue was an avid fan of the band INXS, and she loved all her dear cats that she fostered over her lifetime.

Survivors include her husband, Derek; parents, Morris and Karon of Davenport, IA; sister-in-law, Alexandra (Alasdair) Lowdon of Scotland; as well as the Porter family.
