Tamera L. Armstrong, 55, of Port Byron, IL, died Monday, February 16, 2015, at Genesis Medical Center - Silvis Campus, Silvis, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. A time of gathering for family and friends will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015, at the funeral home. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hope Lodge to help provide free lodging for cancer patients and their caregiver.
Tammy was born on August 26, 1959, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Charles and Geraldine Steinmeyer Farmer. She married Craig Armstrong on September 15, 1984, in East Moline, IL.
Tammy had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. She also enjoyed cross stitching and crossword puzzles. Tammy was a great cook and loved making homemade meals for her family to eat together at home around the dinner table.
Above all, she was a loving and devoted wife and a great mom and grandmother. She especially loved her time spent with her granddaughters.
