Terry Mac McVietty, 76, of Orion, died on July 25, 2011 at Heartland Health Care, Moline.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, 1301 4th Street, Orion. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be at Western Township Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion.
Terry was born on December 18, 1934 in Galesburg, Illinois to Harry & Pauline Heflin McVietty. He married Janet Malmen on September 29, 1956 in Orion.
Terry was employed in IPS with ALCOA for 30 years retiring in 1993. He was a United States Army veteran serving from 1954 - 1956 and a life-time member of the Orion VFW. Terry was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion.
