Terry H. Miller

Terry H. Miller, 78, of Campbell's Island, East Moline, died Monday, January 17, 2011 at Trinity Rock Island.
Per Terry's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38 Ave., Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Colona American Legion or to the American Cancer Society.
Terry was born July 18, 1932 in Moline, the son of Paul and Helen Holmes Miller. He married Edith Benson on February 9, 1952. He later married Helen I. Williams on November 14, 1970 at the Colona Methodist Church.
Terry was a U.S. Army veteran and lifetime member of the Colona American Legion. He was a switchman for the Rock Island Lines and later a truck driver for U.S. Auctioneers. He enjoyed NASCAR, camping, boating on Campbell's Island, and bowling. He was also known to many as a talented mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step father Jake Jacobson, brothers Craig and James and a granddaughter Shay Spencer.
