Thelma Pauline Ecker, 93, of Moline, died November 11, 2008 at her home.
There will be private family services on Friday. The public is welcome to attend a memorial service Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at First Covenant Church, Moline. Following the service there will be time to greet the family at a luncheon in Fellowship Hall. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to First Covenant Church Piano Fund or the American Cancer Society.
Thelma was born June 23, 1915 in Hayfield, IA to Fred and Jessie Baldwin Erickson. She married Clarence E. Ecker on September 11, 1936 in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 1988.
Thelma was a member of First Covenant Church, Moline, where she was an active member of several groups. She loved music, was an excellent cook, and had a special gift for hospitality. She loved her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was loved by all who knew her.
The family members would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Porubcin and the nurses and staff at Trinity Cancer Center and Trinity Pathway Hospice for all they did to help their mother.
