Thomas “Tom” H. Duckett, 89, of Colona, departed this life on Monday, June 13, 2022.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until Noon on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, cremation services will follow and inurnment will be at Dayton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Tom was born to Ray and Cornelia (Stapf) Duckett, at Moline Public Hospital, on his mother’s birthday, December 14, in 1932. He graduated from Moline High School in 1951, and after a brief employment, enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After serving, during the Korean Conflict, he was honorably discharged in 1956, and attended college on the GI bill. He was married to Clevelyn Rigdon from 1957 to 1963. He was later married to Luanne Ruth Paquette, from 1965 until her death in September of 2021.
He had been employed at Eagle Signal, the East Moline Works of International Harvester, the Bendix Corporation, Quad City Die Casting and Aramark, from which he retired, as Area Operations Engineer, in 1998, after 28 years of services.
Survivors include his sons, Terrence Duckett, of Colona, IL, and G. Scott (Andrea) Duckett, of Geneseo, IL; grandchildren, Alyssa Duckett, Shaun Duckett, and Alayna Duckett, of Geneseo, IL, all of whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Luanne, parents and siblings, Ethyl Hill, Arlyne Sheil and Robert Duckett.
