Thomas "Tom" E. Webb, Jr.

January 20, 1934 — November 4, 2022

Thomas “Tom” Edward Webb, Jr., 88, of Silvis, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022, at his home.

Funeral services will be held Noon, Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hampton Township Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Tom was born on January 20, 1934, in Montgomery, Alabama, the son of Thomas Edward and Mattie May (Jones) Webb, Sr. Tom a U.S. Veteran, having served in the Navy. He married Ruth Ellen Cox on February 4, 1966, in East Moline. She preceded him in death on July 18, 2021. He attended woodworking and welding schools and went on to work for the Rock Island Railroad for 21 years. Tom then worked at the Rock Island Arsenal, where he retired after 18 years. He was a former member of the Robinsonville Baptist Church and a member of the United Transportation Lodge – Switchman’s Union. He was member of the Masonic Lodge 898 and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Survivors include his daughters, Brenda (Randy) Hawley, Renae (Wade) Harroun; grandchildren, Jason Haggard, Michael Hendricks, Rachael Frizzell, Ashley (John) Bell, Levi Harroun, Sarah Harroun, 10 great grandchildren; sister, Edna Davis.

He was preceded in death by his wife.; and two sisters.
