Veda I. Hamilton, 82, of East Moline, IL, died Friday, August 21, 2015, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.
Memorial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation or Hope Creek Care Center.
Veda was born on May 3, 1933, in Afton, IA, the daughter of George "Dewey" and Florence Stoner White. She married Roger C. Hamilton in 1961 in Quincy, IL. They later divorced.
Veda formerly was a housekeeper, a waitress, and a store clerk. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Moline for many years. Veda grew up on a farm and loved animals.
