Velma Grobman, 92, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, March 03, 2016, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to The Jim and Trudy Maloof St. Jude Midwest Affiliate Clinic.
Velma was born on March 21, 1923, in Wahoo, NE, the daughter of John and Agnes Robare Veskrna. She married John W. Scott in Nebraska. Later, she married Robert Grobman in 1959, in Moline, IL. She worked for John Deere for 32 years. Velma enjoyed going to yard sales and spending time with her friends and family.
Survivors include her children, Carol Scott, Marjorie Luzader, Jack Scott, and John (Maryann) Scott, Jr.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Barbara Vest; 3 sisters.
