Vicky Lee Buck

Vicky Lee Buck, 74, of Moline, passed away February 5, 2026, at Silvis Center.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday February 12, 2026, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Moline.

Vicky was born on October 22, 1951, in Moline, the daughter of Willian R. and Betty J. (Dettman) Carlstrom. She graduated from Moline High School, class of 1969. She married James O. Buck on June 19, 1990, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2010. Vicky worked as a sales associate at Von Maur, Moline for 18 years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She loved her yearly family vacations to Biloxi, Mississippi and New Orleans, seeing the old plantations. In her younger years she was a professional dancer with Rudas Dance Troupe for 4 years going to Japan, Canada and Nassau, Bahamas.

Survivors include her siblings, Gregg Carlstrom, Douglas (Carolyn) Carlstrom, Jackie (Kenneth) Brenner; many nieces & nephews and great nieces & great nephews; stepchildren, Kim (Greg) Welch, Angie Gilbraith; step-grandchildren, Tyler, Nicholas, Nathan & Katie; and sister-in-law, Mary Jo (Norman) Schmelzer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim; sister, Karen Flowers and nephew, William Flowers.
