Virginia I. Armstrong, 96, of East Moline, IL, died Monday, February 3, 2014, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis, IL.
A Memorial Service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in East Moline at a later date. Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the church. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Virginia was born on October 15, 1917, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Arnold P. and Dora Irene (Jones) Nicholas. She married Francis W. Armstrong on December 13, 1936, in Davenport, IA, and he preceded her in death on June 4, 2006.
Virginia was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and worked as a secretary and an organist for various churches.
