Virginia Garcia, 93, of Castle Rock CO., formerly of Moline IL, peacefully passed away at Brookside Inn nursing home surrounded by family on Wednesday December 25th. Per the families wishes, she has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date at Esterdahl Mortuary.
Virginia was born Feb. 17th 1920 to Francisco and Juana Padilla in Galva KS. She married Julius Garcia in 1945 in Moline, raised three children and was loved by many. Her contagious laugh brought smiles to everyone she knew.
Survivors are her son Ron (Connie) Garcia, Moline; daughter, Neevie Smith, Parker CO.; son in-law, Richard Ziemba, Fort Myers FL.; niece, Tina King, Moline; grandchildren Andrea Ziemba, Jayson (Tonya) Bjurstrom, Missie (Paul) Denham, Candy (Karl) Ziedins, Damon (Emily) Ziemba, Nick Garcia, Chris Gamble; and eight great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband Julius Garcia, daughter Beverly Ziemba, seven siblings and parents. Her memory will be cherished by all.
