Walter J Bailey

Walter J. Bailey, 80, formerly of Orion and Galesburg died Sunday February 14, 2021 at Lutheran Living Home Care Muscatine, Iowa.  There are no services planned. Interment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Esterdahl Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Walter J. Bailey was born on June 5, 1940 in Dusseldorf Germany. In the 1950's he came to the United States and enlisted in the U.S. Army.  Walter then served his military term in Germany as an English translator earning his U.S. Citizenship.  Walter then worked as a load master for Modern Air Transport Cargo Airline. He also was a ramp agent for Trans States Airlines at the Quad City International Airport.  Walter was also a past associate member of the American Association of Airport Executives.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents.
