Wayne C. Thomas, 82, of Moline, IL, died Monday, September 22, 2014, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Wayne was born on August 2, 1932, in Aurora, IL, the son of Orville C. and Sadie Bracken Thomas. He married Minnie A. Kelley on April 22nd 1972, in Moline. He worked as a pipefitter for Local #597 and #1304, retiring in 1993. He was a United States Coast Guard Veteran.
Wayne attended Geneva High School from 1946 - 1950. He was a Bears fan and loved old cars. He enjoyed fishing and NASCAR. Wayne especially enjoyed family gatherings. He was a jack-of-all-trades and loved B.B. King.
