Bill was born in Moline, IL to parents Willard and Doris (Anderson) McMullen. He graduated from United Township High School in 1972.
Bill worked for John Deere for 37 years. He began his career as an hourly worker and quickly worked his way up to management. He proudly ended his career as the Manager of Labor Relations.
In October of 1972, Bill met the love of his life, Cindy and they married February 2, 1974. They built a beautiful life together filled with laughter, close friendship, and a love so deep and genuine. She preceded him in death May 29, 2023.
Bill was a proud father of three girls. He was the solid foundation to our family. Our dad was a constant source of strength, love, understanding, and faith throughout our lives. He took great pride in providing for our family and showing up for us in every way possible. His love for his family shined even brighter when he gained the proud title of Popo to 3 grandkids. He was a constant source of encouragement in all their achievements, big or small. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. He loved traveling and shared that love with his family every year. His laughter, strength, kindness, and love will be so deeply missed.
Those left to honor his legacy are his daughters: Michelle (Brice) McCaw, Cambridge IL: Marci (Aaron) Boswell, Milan, IL: Kelli (Bob) Beverage, Normal, IL; grandchildren: Lori Jo Beverage, Normal, IL: Braydan Boswell, Milan, IL; sibling: Pat (Pam) McMullen, Sun Lakes, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy: his parents, brother, Tom McMullen, one sister, Sandy Rounds, and his grandson, Jordan Schmidt.
We will miss you forever and will see you and mom again in eternity.
