William John Steed

William “Bill” John Steed, 70, of East Moline, passed away Friday July 19, 2024, at Hope Creek Care Center.

A celebration of life will take place at a later time and cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the Individual Advocacy Group. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Bill was born on December 30, 1953, in Dixon, Illinois, the son of Wallace G. and Ida A. (Saur) Steed. He enjoyed fishing, riding his bike and taking care of his yard.

Survivors include his brother, Michael Kevin Steed; sister, Cynthia Diane (Richard) Westfall; nieces and nephews, Kim (Errol) Banks, Christina Lynn Allison (Bob Thomas), Robert (Tina) Hantz, Joanie (Josh) Ginther, Ronald (Heather) Westfall; many great nieces & great nephews and great great nieces & great great nephews.  Bill had a very special niece, friend, and caretaker, Christine Allison.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
