Willis L. Hodge, 75, of Moline, IL, died Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Unity Point Health, Rock Island, IL, surrounded by his loving family.
There will be a family led memorial service on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 3801 7th Street, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Willis was born on February 21, 1941, in Jackson, TN, the son of Frances Leonard and Preston Hodge. He married Sara Couch Hodge in October of 1962, she preceded him in death on October 6, 2013.
Willis was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, IL and also volunteered at Heritage Wesleyan Church and Youth Hope. After his retirement from National Railway, Willis enjoyed his faith, family, friends, fishing and cooking.
Survivors include his wife, Sally, his son, David Hodge of Moline, IL, his mother, Frances Leonard of Jackson, TN, and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara, son, Daniel, his father, Preston and his step-father, Everett Leonard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Youth Hope, Moline, IL.
