Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Evangelical Community church, 19224 East 950th Street in rural Geneseo.

The former Wilma Vogler was born on December 24, 1917, in Adrian, MO, the daughter of Clarence and Ocie Mason Vogler. She graduated from Macomb High School in 1936. She eloped with Darrell Homer Erdmann on October 18, 1941, in Carrollton, MO, and he passed away on October 11, 1992.

Wilma was a quiet, soft spoken person that loved her family and friends. In later years, she would spend a lot of time on the telephone keeping up with what was going on with them. She remained in the same farm house that she shared with her husband until shortly before her death.

Wilma was a long time member of St. Peter's Evangelical Community Church in rural Geneseo. She did not want to be a farmer's wife but she made a good one. She was a stay at home mother on their farm where she grew and sold strawberries and raised chickens and sold their eggs. She served on the local election board for several years. She worked at the Moline Kmart in the receiving department from the time it opened until she retired in 1980. She liked writing and wrote a couple of articles that were published in the Dispatch.

She is survived by her son, Stanley; daughter-in-law, Teresa "Teri" of Coal Valley; grandsons, Travis and Kyle (Jamie) Erdmann; great grandsons, Eric and Trey Erdmann, all of Coal Valley, IL; brother-in-law, Carroll Watts, Galesburg; sisters-in-law, Cecelia "CeCe" John Vogler, Rock Island, IL, Alice Wiley Vogler, Macomb, IL, and Marjorie Inloes Vogler, East Moline, IL; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 6 sisters, Alice Davidson, Marie Millard, Elsie McKee, Doris Watts, Esther Sturm, and Dorothy Vogler; 6 brothers, Louis, Roy "Shorty", Vernon, her twin brother, Wilbur "Bud", Jess, and Leslie.
