Yvonne J Anderson

Yvonne Jeanette Anderson 94, formerly of Moline passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, FL on November 19, 2022, after a brief illness.  Yvonne’s final wish to be with her Lord and Savior, husband Eugene and daughter Susan, has been granted.  She was a resident of Brookdale Senior Living in Altamonte Springs, FL since 2019.

Funeral Services will be held at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Ave, Moline, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.  Visitation will be 1 hour before the service at 10:00 AM.  Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, 800 29th Street, in Moline after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse.

Yvonne Jeanette Mathison was born on March 2, 1928, in Chicago, IL.  She was Adopted and raised by her loving Mother, Eva Stout, Augusta, IL, and the Stout families. She married Eugene Anderson on June 2, 1950, in Moline, IL.   They were married for 67 years and had 5 children together.

Yvonne loved spending time with her family and was often seen holding hands with the love of her life “Gene”.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking. She was well known for her Swedish Pancakes that her Grandchildren fought over.  Yvonne lived at her home on 7th Street, Moline until August 2019. She was a member of First Evangelical Free Church for many years, teaching Sunday School in the Beginners Department. She graduated from Augusta High School in Augusta, IL in 1945.

Yvonne worked as a Switchboard Operator for IL Bell Telephone Co., John Deere Wagon Works, and Sears Roebuck and Co. for 23 years retiring in October 1990.

Survivors include her children; Arlene (Jeff) Kabel, Port Orange, FL, Ellen (Jerry) Barr, Moline, Jeffrey (Sharon) Anderson, Buffalo Grove, IL, June (Jeff) Hart, Longwood, FL, and her brother Wayne (Mary) Stout, Illinois City, IL.

Grandchildren include Nicole (Jason) Greathouse, Stephanie (Michael) Dougherty, Jeremy (Rebecca) Barr, Jake Barr, Jennifer (Eric) Ekstam, Jeannette (Jon) Smith, Daniel and Shelby Anderson, Dalton (Jenna) Hart, Emily, and Brett Hart.  Great Grandchildren include Donnie Fisk, Alec, Maverick and Ireland Dougherty, Evan and Andrew Ekstam, Jillian and Josie Smith, Carly and Macy Barr, Marissa, Addison, Brooklyn and Everly Hart.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan, on November 21, 1955, and husband Eugene on November 25, 2017.  She was also preceded in death by her mother, Eva Stout, grandmother, Flora Stout, and uncles and aunts, Ed (Lucille) Stout and Homer (Ruby) Stout.
