Yvonne "Von" Patch

Yvonne “Von” Patch, 83, of Orion, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.

Celebration of Life Gathering from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion.  Private burial of cremains will be at Western Township Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the family for a fund for Von’s grandchildren.

Yvonne was born on March 30, 1935, in Coal Valley, the daughter of Clinton L. and A. May (Payne) Anderson.  She married Irven G. Patch on May 7, 1955, at the First Presbyterian Church, Moline.  Von had worked as a hostess at the Factory Restaurant in Orion.

Von was a former member of the Orion United Methodist Church.  She was a big Fighting Illini fan and was a proud graduate of the Villa de Chantal, Rock Island.  She was an avid reader, crafter, and she enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together and framing them.  She looked forward to her trips to Wisconsin where she spent time there with her family, feeding the birds, and watching the different wildlife.  She loved her children and her grandchildren dearly; she was always supportive of them and whatever activities they were involved in.

Survivors include her husband, Irven; son, Jeffrey (Peggy) Patch, Coal Valley; daughter, Geri Sue (Steve) Deneckere, Rock Island; grandchildren, Brett (Erin) Deneckere, Rowlett, TX, Aaron (Kayla Sierra-Lee) Deneckere, Rock Island, Megan Shriver, State Center, IA, Jordan (Jordan Kleen) Patch, Jacksonville, NC, and Allison (Colin Lorenz) Patch, Silvis; great grandson, Kellen Shriver.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
