Christina Griffin, 68, of Moline, passed away, Tuesday, February 02, 2021, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting the family.
Christina was born on April 4, 1952 in Moline, the daughter of Frieda Wright. She was married to John Minyard April 15, 1972 in Colona for 19 years. She later spent the rest of her life with her long time significant other Dave Griffin. She was employed as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service at the Moline post office for over 35 years and was much loved on her normal route. Christina graduated JD Darnell high school, Geneseo, in 1970. She enjoyed camping and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and music concerts. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, and being outdoors.
Survivors include her children, Jennifer (Jim) Norton, Coal Valley, Melissa (Heath) McCullough, Le Claire, IA; grandchildren, Breanna, Brayden, and Julia Moore, Joseph Norton, Adisson, Aden, Adley, Ainsley, and Ashten McCullough; significant other, Dave Griffin; his daughters, Heather, Amber, Stephanie, and 12 additional grandchildren; siblings, Jane Martin, Port Jefferson, NY, Sharon Lievens, Montgomery, TX and David Wright, Port Byron.
She was preceded in death by her mother, brothers, Clayton, George, and Howard Wright and brother-in-law Duane Lievens.
