Obituary

Dexter Weller, 95, of New Boston, passed away, Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.  Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory Ltd., Moline is assisting the family.

Dexter was born on August 21, 1925 in Horse Cave, KY. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Shirley Caitlin and she preceded him in death on July 4, 1997. He enjoyed fishing, boating and being outdoors.

Survivors include his son Brady Weller; grandchildren, Allen Newman, Denise Campbell, and Dustin Weller, 4 great grandchildren, Tyler Weller, Madeline Weller, Jarred Campbell, Lilly Campbell; and 1 great great grandchild, Theon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and daughter, Judy Marie Newman.
