Halida Nikolic

Halida Nikolic, 79, of Moline, passed away, Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

A private family visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020, Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  A private graveside service will be held on Monday at Moline Memorial Park, and burial will follow.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Halida Ramic was born on June 5, 1940 in Bosnia, the daughter of Omer and Fatima Ramic.  She married Zdravko Nikolic on September 19, 1960 in Bosnia, he preceded her in October 2016.  Halida owned and operated Halida’s Beauty Shop until 1992.

Halida enjoyed traveling and spending all of her time with family. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed singing and making jewelry. She took all of life’s challenges with a great strength and positive attitude, and always had a smile on her face.

Survivors include daughters; Gordana (Dzemil) Kavazic, Houston, TX, and Nena (Daniel) Sullivan, Bettendorf, grandchilddren; Deniel (Selma) Kavazic, Houston, TX, Nina (Ricky) Wilkerson, Houston, TX, Kristina (Ramon) Cortes, Cedar Rapids, Maya Sullivan, Bettendorf, great grandchildren; Deniel Kavazic, Ricky Wilkerson.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers.
