Jane Ellen Overton

Jane Ellen Overton, 87, of Davenport, passed away, Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to the family. 

Jane was born on April 4, 1935, in Rock Island, the daughter of Clarence R. and Leota H. (Brown) Jacobs. She was previously employed at Moline Public Hospital for twelve years and later at Franciscan Hospital in Rock Island for 6 years, retiring in 1986. Jane loved to go to the mall and shop. She also liked to tend to and decorate her home.

Survivors include her children, Donnie Powell, Terry Powell, Michael Powell, Robert Powell, Candy Joe, Tambra Powell; grandchildren, David Powell, Matthew Powell; great grandchildren, Matthew Powell, Jr., Aaliyah Powell, Xavier Powell; sisters, Molly and Jenny.

She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.
