Jill Clearman

Jill Elen Clearman, 73, of Moline, passed away, in the early hours of Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at River Crossing of Moline.

Cremation rites have been accorded and Jill will be laid to rest at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline in a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter.

Jill was born on February 16, 1949, in Moline, the daughter of Guy E. and Mary E. (Thompson) Johnson. She graduated from Moline High School in 1967, and married Timothy E. Clearman on June 22, 1968, in Moline. Two daughters were born of the marriage, but the pair later divorced. Jill worked as an executive secretary at John Deere but retired at an early age due to health issues. She was active in her church for a time and very much enjoyed being with family, friends and neighbors. She had a very soft spot for animals, especially kitty cats.

Survivors include her daughters, Caressa Clearman (James Gordon) and Julia Clearman (Cory Brown); grandchildren, Wyatt VanQuakebeke, Emmett VanQuakebeke, and Garrett VanQuakebeke; brother, Jay Johnson (Marcia) and their son, Bret Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
