Margaret Jane Kaskadden

Margaret “Margie” Jane Kaskadden, 78, of Moline, passed away, Tuesday, July 06, 2021, at home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.

Margie was born on January 14, 1943, in Marion, IN, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Leisure) Fiser.  She married Richard Kaskadden on January 18, 1960, in Rock Island.  Margie had an incredible work ethic.  She worked as a beautician for Louise’s Looking Glass from November 1971 until January 2013.  While working at Louise’s, Margie also worked as a cashier at the Sara Mini Mart, Rock Island, and Citgo, East Moline.  She later worked at 15th Street Hair Designers and as a hairdresser at Esterdahl Mortuary.  Margie was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, and Rock Island Eagles Auxiliary 956.  She loved gardening, making quilts, scrapbooking, bingo, and riding Cotton’s trike.

Survivors include children, Tony (Becky) Kaskadden, Lakemoor, IL, Kathy (Bill) McGuirk, Moline; siblings, Charles (Donna) Fiser, Rock Island, Marilyn Brown, Milan, Sharon Mee, Milan; sister-in-law, Marion Hoffman, Milan; special companion of over 40 years, Bill “Cotton” Reed, who was always by Margie’s side; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sons, Chuck Kaskadden and Donnie Kaskadden; grandson, Justin Kaskadden; brothers, Tom Hoffman, and Bill Hoffman; in-laws, Donald Mee, Bonnie Fiser & Joann Hoffman; and a great granddaughter.

Margie and her family wanted to extend a special thank you to all their dear family and friends, especially Louise Cover and her family.  Also, to Hospice Compassus for their kind care.
